Wildlife

The rugged topography of the Waterberg and the wealth of biodiversity it encompasses is a picture that could never be accurately recreated in words. To say that it is a breathtaking spectacle or a natural wonder is merely to hint at the vast mountains, rolling green valleys and sprawling savannah that make up this incredible region.

Designated a UNESCO Biosphere Reserve, the region is an ever-unfolding panorama of indigenous flora and fauna. The Big Five roam free here, in their natural habitat, safe within the care of the reserve that puts the harmony of the ecosystem and the protection of its wildlife first.
