Nestled in the basin of an ancient amphitheatre divided by riverine woodlands and ancient elephant trails lies an exclusive private game lodge. This five star lodge is situated within the Pilanesberg National Park, a mere two hours

drive from Johannesburg and within a malaria-free area. The central facility includes, stunning feature pool, bar, conference rooms, dinning room, bomas, reception and curio shop.

Decorated in a range of earthly tones ranging from terra cottas to deep blues, the rooms have been carefully co-ordinated to ensure comfortable seating both indoors and out.

Ivory Tree boasts 4 luxury suites. Each features the following: Air conditioners which provide heating and cooling, En-suite bathroom and outside shower, Covered patio, Tea and coffee making facilities, Mini bar fridge, Private Plunge Pool (when available) and lounge.

The standard room configuration includes two twin beds and in a limited number of rooms it is possible to offer a king size bed. It is also possible to introduce a third bed into the room in the event that a child / children wish to share with parents. It is not possible to add a fourth bed.

Children:
Children 0 – 5 years of age stay free of charge only when sharing with two full paying adults, meals charged on consumption
Children 6 – 11 years of age Pay 50% of the adult sharing rate when sharing with two full paying adults Full adult rate applicable if occupying their own room
Children 12 years & older Occupy their own room and pay full adult rate, where a child shares with 1 adult the adult sharing rate applies
Children under the age of 6 are not permitted on game drives
Children under the age of 12 years will be accommodated on special children’s game drives. This is subject to availability and at the discretion of the lodge manager.

Directions

Self-dive instructions: 

Leave Johannesburg driving past Lanseria Airport (0km) towards Hartebeespoort Dam (suggested routes either William Nicol or Hans Strydom roadways)
(17.2km) At the T-junction of Broederstroom (fruit stall in front of you) turn left.
(29.7km) Follow signs to Sun City turning right taking the bridge over the dam.
(35.5km) At 4-way stop turn left (takes you past Chameleon Village) and at (40.7km) follow signs to Brits N4 Rustenburg taking you onto the N4.
Once on the N4 Toll road, take the 1st off-ramp (55.2km) for Pilanesberg/Sun City
Turn right over the Highway continuing as though traveling to Sun City (±80km) going through at least four 4-way stops
(105.0km) Follow brown “Ivory Lodge” sign at a 4-way stop with a Golden Era sign off to the right, turn right to “Northam” on the R510
Continue along until you pass an industrial area on your left, soon after turn left (127.0km) follow brown “Ivory Lodge” sign to Mogwase and Pilanesberg
(131.4km) At second stop street with a Caltex garage on the corner turn right to Pilanesberg, Manyane & Bakgatla Gates follow brown “Ivory Lodge” sign
Continue until you hit a T-junction (144.6km) follow brown “Ivory Lodge” sign
Turn left to Bakgatla Gate and George Stegman Hospital
Continue along this road which takes you to our driveway which is a huge thatched yellow entrance taking the right-hand entrance to the lodge.
