Enjoy treks in the nearby swamps and rainforest where you can embark on a search for a range of primates and birds, this area is especially well known for chimp trekking.

Accommodation

Kibale Forest Camp offers three types of accommodation options:

Safari tent accommodation
Kibale Forest Camp consists of 10 African safari style tents, comfortably furnished with twin or double beds. Each unit has its own private ensuite bathroom with an eco friendly toilet, a dressing room and a bush shower. Seated from your own verandah, the red or black and white colobus can often be observed in the dense camp surrounding.

Lazy camping
Away from the main accommodation, Kibale Forest offers a more budget option in the form of non-self-contained tents. Our lazy camping product consists of a basic camping tent furnished with 2 single beds and a solar lantern. No need to bring your own linen as all bedding and towels are provided. The tents share a communal ablution blocks with hot showers and flushing toilets

Camping
The well maintained campsite of Kibale Forest Camp is a little green gem . Bordering the swamp and set in lush surroundigs it is the place to unwind and come one with Nature. The sanitary facilities consist of 2 hot showers and 2 flushing toilets

Directions

Kibale Forest Camp is located just off the main road Fort Portal—Kamwenge.. After the park’s boundry (coming from Fort Portal) you will see our first signpost, (from where it is a mere 3,5 km to our camp). You will continue on the main road and pass Bigodi village. Our second signpost will direct you on a dirt road which will take you to our camp, located around 1 km further.
