Tucked away from the bustling crowds, Massinga Beach boasts white sandy beaches, fresh Afro-Portuguese cuisine, palm trees, and warm turquoise waters. The wooden exterior and tasteful décor add to the comfortable and luxurious feel. A beach bar offers drinks and snacks, and guests can enjoy the breathtaking views from the elevated pool deck.

Massinga Beach Lodge is the perfect destination for couples, and offers an idyllic setting for weddings and honeymoons. The lodge has 16 ocean front deluxe rooms, which are the perfect setting for romantic getaways. It also offers 12 ocean view rooms, which are best suited to families.

Accommodation

The Ocean Front Deluxe Rooms are ideal for couples. Each suite is equipped with a king-size bed, mini bar, safe, mosquito net, and air-conditioning. The stylish en-suite bathroom features a rain shower and free-standing bath tub, and leads out onto a private deck overlooking the ocean, complete with sun loungers and a plunge pool.

The Ocean View Rooms, more suited to families, have a king-sized bed as well as a lounge furnished with two sleeper couches. The bedroom has an en suite bathroom with freestanding bath and rain shower, and offers a 180 degree view of the ocean. The lounge leads onto a private deck, air-conditioning and a minibar. An extra bed can be arranged on request.

Wildlife

From the deck, guests are often treated to sightings of whales frolicking in the bay.

A Sea Safari offers beautiful and varied marine life. Shallow and deep water reefs are home to a magnificent population of sub-tropical fish, corals, Nudibranchs, starfish and more. Huge flocks of pelicans and flamingos are a sight to behold. In the deeper sea, large game fish such as marlin and barracuda can be spotted, as can whales, dolphins, white-tipped sharks and turtles. Among the rare creatures one can see are Whale Sharks and Leatherback Turtles.

• Children under the age of 6 years are not accommodated for at Massinga Beach Lodge.

• All visitors will be required to pay passenger tax, immigration tax and airport tax.
• The power is supplied daily by generator from 06:00 – 12:00 and 18:00 – 22:00.
