Mweya Safari Lodge offers visitors an unforgettable experience. Located on a peninsula within the heart of the Queen Elizabeth National Park, Mweya Safari Lodge is surrounded by the magical Rwenzori Mountains aptly described as the ‘Mountains of the Moon’.

To the east, lie the guardians of the birthplace of mankind, the Great Rift Valley hills, separated from the Mountains of the Moon by the meandering Kazinga Channel. Here the water flows endlessly into two giant lakes – Lake George and Lake Edward.

Directions

By Air:

A less than one hour flight from Entebbe International Airport to the Airstrip at Mweya takes one to the door step of the Lodge itself.

By Road:

Mweya Safari Lodge is approximately 420 km from Kampala and involves a journey of some 6 hours taking in a scenic route of rural Uganda.

From Kampala Road branch off to Entebbe Road until the Clock Tower junction where you may join and follow Queen’s Way until you reach Kibuye round about. Here take the exit to join Masaka Road and follow the road to Busega round about. Take the first junction on your left and keep on driving past the following towns and landmarks:The Equator line, Masaka, Mbarara, Itendero, Bushenyi, Ishaka, Rutoto, Bunyaruguru, Kicwamba, Kyambura, Katunguru Bridge, KatunguruTrading Centre, Katunguru Gate, Kabatoro Gate (the second entrance to Queen Elizabeth National Park)

Here, where you see the sign post for Mweya Lodge… Take a left and go onto the murram road. Continue driving through Queen Elizabeth National Park until you reach Mweya Safari Lodge.
