Accommodation

The intimate Olarro Lodge only accommodates eighteen guests at a time in seven luxurious cottages and one private villa. The cottages, situated on the north side of the property, are designed to mimic the rolling shapes of the surrounding hills. Decorated in cool tones, with modern and traditional touches, the cottages sleep two in either double or twin beds. While only six of the cottages are connected by a shared lounge, all of the cottages offer guests sumptuous en-suite bathrooms with rainfall showers, and private patios on which to relax and take in the exquisite views.

The private villa offers guests seeking total exclusivity a welcome retreat. The house sleeps a maximum of four, in a master suite and twin-bed room. Both rooms are en-suite, with rainfall showers and Thera Vine bathroom amenities, while the master en-suite includes a bath with incredible views. Guests can relax in the sumptuous lounge, enjoy private dinners in their dining room or soak in the views of the Loita plains from their private veranda.

Wildlife

The plains below the rolling Loita Hills are abundant with wildebeest, zebra, giraffe, lion, hyena, and cheetah. On night drives guests may sight leopards, lions, the white tailed mongoose, bush babies, the African kangaroo or spring hare, Feraux’s owl, and the Montane night jar. Over the winter months guests will have the opportunity to visit in the Masai Mara and watch the great wildebeest migration.

The hills are a birder’s haven with 150 species in the area.
