The spectacular Singita Pamushana Lodge is located in the private Malilangwe Wildlife Reserve. Elevated on a cliff-side, this luxury lodge offers magnificent views over the Malilangwe Dam and surrounding Zimbabwean wilderness. Sensitively constructed to blend into the landscape of mopane forests and ancient baobab trees, the exclusive lodge combines luxurious contemporary design and local Shangaan culture, creating a vibrant and elegant space.

Pamushana is owned by The Malilangwe Trust, a non-profit trust set up to conserve the wildlife and habitat of the region and develop the neighbouring communities. The reserve covers 135 000 acres of untouched savannah adjacent to the Gonarezhou National Park in south-eastern Zimbabwe and is abundant in bird species and wildlife, as well as many ancient rock art sites.

Accommodation

Singita Pamushana Lodge offers six luxurious suites and a spectacular five-bedroom villa. There are four one-bedroom suites, one two-bedroom suite and one three-bedroom suite. All the suites offer incredible views from their private timber decks and plunge pools. The spacious bedrooms are all en-suite, with both indoor and outdoor showers. The vibrantly bold décor reflects the pristine environment and local culture, with Shangaan art adorning the walls. In addition, each suite offers a double-sided fireplace and Swarovski spotting telescope.

Each of the spacious five bedrooms in the lavish villa is en-suite. The secluded villa accommodates up to 10 guests in supreme comfort, and offers all the amenities of the suites and more. The sumptuous living area flows out onto an expansive timber deck and rim-flow pool, with awe-inspiring views of the surrounding wilderness. A fully-equipped kitchen and spacious dining room allow guests to enjoy meals in the luxurious comfort of the villa. There is an additional staff flat attached to the villa.

Wildlife

Malilangwe Wildlife Reserve is teeming with birds and wildlife, including rare and endangered species such as the roan, the sable antelope and one of the largest concentrations of the Black rhino in the world. More than 500 species of birds have been sighted in the area, including many raptors.

The diversity of game includes the Big Five (lion, leopard, rhino, buffalo, elephant), the Little Six antelope (klipspringer, oribi, grey duiker, steenbok, grysbok and Livingstone’s suni), and the Magnificent Seven raptors (Black, Fish, Crowned, Tawny, Bateleur and Martial eagles, African Hawk)

Other game commonly sighted include; giraffe, zebra, impala, wildebeest, hartebeest, hippo, crocodile, terrapin, wild dog, and hyena

Children :
Children of all ages are welcome
Infants under the age of 2 years will be accommodated free of charge.
Children aged 2-16 years will be accommodated at 50% of the adult rate when sharing a standard Suite with one adult or another child.
A single child accommodated in their own suite will attract the full adult rate.
Families of four or more members (including at least one child under the age of 10), are guaranteed the complimentary use of a private safari vehicle.

• Scheduled flights or private charters can be arranged.

• The Federal Air scheduled flight to/from Buffalo Range International Airport is currently only active on Mondays and Thursdays from OR Tambo International Airport in Johannesburg.

•  A minimum of three nights’ accommodation at our lodge is necessary when selecting this option.

• Chartered flights can land at Lonestar airstrip, 25 minutes from our lodge.

• Guests are collected off the flight by Singita staff and transported to the lodge.

• Scheduled flights from Johannesburg – Buffalo Range International Airport: approximately 2hrs 30 minutes.

• The weight of luggage is restricted to 20kg (44lb) for checked baggage and 5kg (11 lb) for hand luggage.

• All flights land at Buffalo Range, located 45 minutes from the lodge.
