The Arniston Spa Hotel is a mere two-hour drive from Cape Town and is situated in the stunning Overberg region, just outside the small seaside village of Arniston. The luxurious 4-star Arniston Spa Hotel is the ideal beach location, with panoramic views of the Indian Ocean and near-by beaches.  Guests can enjoy walks on pristine white beaches, watch whales as they frolic in the shallow waters or simply soak up the laid back coastal ambience of this true getaway location.

Arniston is a small seaside village, characterised by its quaint lime-washed thatched houses. The town is named after the wreck of the ship Arniston, which had sailed from Ceylon (present day Sri Lanka) to the Cape in 1815.

Arniston is a popular holiday destination, which has the local nickname Waenhuiskrans. This nickname comes from the name of a cave in the area, which was apparently big enough to house several ox-wagons, and can be explored at low tide. Arniston offers good fishing from the shore as well as from boats and, for over 200 years, local fishermen have been setting out to cast their lines at first light.
