The romantic Induna Honeymoon suite, split over three levels, offers sumptuous luxury, and includes a full en-suite bathroom and bubbly Jacuzzi. A large private patio offers peaceful seclusion and a wonderful opportunity to absorb the unspoilt wilderness while sipping delicious cocktails.
Wildlife
Umbhaba Lodge guests frequently sight the resident hippos, Henry and Henrietta. Umbhaba is just 12 kilometres from the Kruger Park. Guests may opt for self-drive safari or go on organised safaris into the park. Game life is prolific in the Kruger – Guests frequently sight the Big Five during safari drives, along with cheetah, hippo, wild dog and a large variety of antelope. There are regular sightings of rare species, such as the roan antelope, Lichtenstein’s hartebeest and wild dog. Guided evening game drives reveal the more rarely seen nocturnal creatures, such as porcupine, aardwolf, genet, serval, white tailed mongoose, civet and brown hyena.
Birdlife is prolific with over 450 species recorded. Raptor sightings include Martial, Tawny and Fish Eagles as well as Steppe Buzzards. Southern Ground Hornbills have nesting sites close to the lodge, and iridescently plumaged birds, such as the Lilac-breasted roller, Southern Carmine Bee-eaters, and Malachite kingfishers are often sighted.
