The Singita story first began in 1993 with the opening of the Singita Ebony Lodge and then the Singita Boulders Lodge. It is from this beginning in South Africa, on the privately owned land now known as the Sabi Sands Private Game Reserve, that Singita has worked to bring a balance between luxury tourism, conservation and community.
2001 saw Singita expand into the Kruger National Park, where its two luxury lodges, Singita Lembombo and Sweni, have been erected on 33 000 acres of untouched wilderness. Both of these lodges have integrated the ‘touch the earth lightly’ philosophy into their daily operations.
